STEM Spark: Mechanical Engineering is a self-paced, progressive badge program for Daisy, Brownie, and Junior Girl Scouts. The GSGNY STEM team has created a series of badge guides—available online—to help Girl Scouts earn all 3 of their level-specific mechanical engineering badges. Activities are geared toward troops, but there are modifications for independent Girl Scouts. Additionally, participants may have the opportunity to attend a special engineering event!

Think Like an Engineer Journey
The Think Like an Engineer Journey is a STEM-focused Journey open to all Girl Scout levels. In this Journey, Girl Scouts learn how engineers use creative thinking to solve problems by using the Design Thinking Process to complete three hands-on engineering challenges.
The GSGNY STEM team has created Journey Take Action Guides for both troops and independent Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts are welcome to explore these guides and complete this Journey on their own. Learn more through the link below!
