Girl HQ serves the needs of Girl Scouts today and in the future
Girl Scouts of Greater New York has embarked on our largest, most exciting project to-date, the construction of Girl HQ at Camp Kaufmann, our 425-acre facility in Dutchess County.
Cookie Hall, our former camp dining hall and activity center, was built in 1960. The unheated structure was suitable only for warm-weather programs and was inadequate to provide programming for an ever-increasing number of campers.
Girl HQ is a modern, flexible, and welcoming environment that meets the needs of today’s Girl Scouts. The new building serves as the camp’s year-round welcome center, dining hall and kitchen facilities, gathering place, and educational space, providing breakout rooms for STEM, arts & crafts, and other essential indoor activities and services. Girl HQ provides Girl Scouts visiting Camp Kaufmann with the experience they deserve.
Help us ensure that Girl HQ continues to inspire and empower every Girl Scout who visits Camp Kaufmann.
While the building is complete, we still need your support to fully fund this transformative space. Your donation will help provide the resources and programs that make Girl HQ a true home for learning, creativity, and community.
Give today and be a part of shaping unforgettable camp experiences for generations to come.
Get your Girl Scout Troop involved!
Our council has heard from many Girl Scouts, troops leaders, and volunteers that you want to help raise funds to support the construction of Girl HQ, just as our sister Girl Scouts did for Cookie Hall in the 1950s - named for the Girl Scout Cookie sales that helped make it possible!
Check out our Girl HQ Troop Fundraising Guide through the link below to learn more about planning your fundraisers and the commemorative rewards & recognitions your troop can earn for your efforts.
