Girl Scouts for All is a Girl Scouts of Greater New York (GSGNY) program designed to welcome and support members with physical, developmental, cognitive, intellectual, and/or sensory disabilities, while building community awareness and skills around accessibility.
The foundation of Girl Scouts for All is our Unique Abilities Troops, which are open to all Girl Scouts, and specifically encourage the inclusion of members with disabilities, learning differences, and/or accommodation requests. Troop meetings promote social-emotional learning, self-empowerment, making friends, and of course, earning badges!
Our staff ensures troop volunteers have all the resources needed to provide Girl Scouts with an unforgettable experience, including:
Through our Girl Scouts for All initiative, GSGNY also provides educational materials on supporting Girl Scouts with disabilities for all volunteers and members. We are working to improve access throughout the organization, not only to foster a sense of inclusion but also of belonging for all Girl Scouts.
