There are many ways to get involved and make a meaningful impact in the lives of Girl Scouts across New York City. Our short-term volunteers support fast-paced, interactive programs and events for Girl Scouts in grades K–12. These programs take place throughout the five boroughs and at Camp Kaufmann in Dutchess County, serving anywhere from 25 to 100+ participants.
As a short-term volunteer, you might run an activity station, support a booth sale during Cookie season, help behind the scenes, or even lead a temporary troop. It’s a great opportunity for anyone interested in working with youth or building project management and facilitation skills.
Volunteer service documentation is available upon request.
Please note: All volunteers must be registered Girl Scout members and successfully complete a background check.
Love fast-paced, hands-on experiences? Event Volunteers support programs for Girl Scouts of all ages by helping with activity stations, managing check-in, setting up and breaking down events, guiding Girl Scouts between stations, and assisting with supplies, snacks, and meals. Every event is different—and there’s always something to do!
Support middle and high school Girl Scouts through one or more of our leadership programs. Mentors may assist with business projects in the Leadership Institute or guide Girl Scouts pursuing their Gold Award—the highest honor in Girl Scouting. Share your experience, offer guidance, and help girls think outside the box.
