About Paul Keim
Paul Keim was a dedicated Girl Scout volunteer whose love of the outdoors, generosity of spirit, and unwavering commitment to young people made a lasting impact on Girl Scouts of Greater New York.
Over many years of service, Paul shared his time, expertise, and enthusiasm to help create meaningful outdoor experiences for girls. Whether supporting camp programs, maintaining camp facilities, or lending a hand wherever it was needed, he believed deeply in the transformative power of nature and adventure.
Those who knew Paul remember him not only for his dedication, but also for his kindness, humility, and genuine belief in the mission of Girl Scouting. He understood that some of life's most important lessons are learned outside—through exploration, teamwork, resilience, and a connection to the natural world.
Camp Kaufmann held a special place in Paul's heart. The Frog Pond, with its quiet beauty and opportunities for discovery, reflects the kind of environment he worked so hard to preserve and strengthen for future generations.
By naming the Frog Pond Dock in Paul's honor, we celebrate a volunteer whose legacy will continue to inspire Girl Scouts for years to come. Every girl who pauses at the dock to observe wildlife, build confidence, make friends, or simply enjoy the outdoors will be part of the living legacy that Paul helped create.
We are deeply grateful for Paul's years of service and the countless ways he enriched the Girl Scout experience for others.
