In recognition of the corporate-wide commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders, Bank of America is the inaugural recipient of the Gold Corporate Leadership Award.
As a supporter of GSGNY for three decades, Bank of America has been instrumental in the strengthening of the organization's business & entrepreneurship pillar, especially through their multi-year commitment to the Leadership Institute. As a signature partner of GSGNY’s Business & Entrepreneurship track, the bank supplements its funding with opportunities for the Girl Scouts to receive skill building training and to engage directly with the bank’s diverse female employees about their pathways to success.
Bank of America’s commitment to developing young entrepreneurs also includes hosting GSGNY's Cookie University as well as Troop 6000’s annual 3-day cookie sale. At this event, Bank of America employee volunteers assist Troop 6000 in selling cookies in support of the program. In 2024, the sale generated more than $5,000 in troop proceeds, which was then matched by the bank.
Through all of its work with GSGNY, Bank of America is committed to ensuring that all Girl Scouts have the opportunity to learn the business fundamentals and entrepreneurial way of thinking that can position them to be the leaders of tomorrow.
