Shari Krull is honored to serve as CEO of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and a deep belief in the power of girls to lead, create, and thrive.
A former Brownie from Long Island, Shari’s early Girl Scout experiences sparked a lifelong passion for community, friendship, and adventure. Her career spans roles as a sleepaway camp counselor, therapist, after-school educator, professor, and nonprofit leader—all united by a mission to unlock the potential in others. Prior to joining GSGNY, Shari served as CEO of StreetWise Partners, a career mentoring organization supporting young adults and skilled immigrants in NYC and Washington, D.C. She also spent over a decade at Catholic Big Sisters, where she held leadership roles focused on mentoring and youth development programs.
Shari holds a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University and began her career supporting women and children in foster care, criminal justice, and mental health systems.
Shari currently serves on the Board of the New York City Employment and Training Coalition and the Advisory Board of The Ready Foundation. She was named a Non-Profit Trailblazer by City & State and received the 2025 Betty Cook Award for women’s empowerment from the Women’s Bond Club. She lives on Long Island with her husband and two sons.
