Virtual Girl Scout Troops

The Girl Scouts of Greater New York has launched brand new city-wide Virtual Girl Scout troops—join today!

If you are a registered Girl Scout and your troop is not currently meeting, please follow these instructions to join a virtual troop.

This initiative is looking to engage current registered girls and brand-new girls in meaningful ways. During our Virtual Troop Meetings, we will continue to deliver the Girl Scout traditions such as the Promise and Law and the girls will have an opportunity to engage in exciting adventures, work on badges and participate in Virtual Camp.

Troops will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis based on volunteer capacity. Girls that miss this first round of Virtual Troops and are excited to join Girl Scouts can always join as a Juliette!

Adult Learning

Stay up-to-date with our virtual training and webinars for current Girl Scout volunteers and troop leaders, including our Growing Together Through COVID-19 series, which was established shortly before the Shelter-in-Place order was enacted in New York City.

The series of webinars seeks to provide meaningful, topical, and accessible support to adults living in New York City. Understanding the variety of human experience, Growing Together Through COVID-19 makes efforts to be inclusive of all adults: single, partnered, with or without children, living alone, with family or with roommates.

Virtual Program Content Submission

We invite volunteers and others in our network to create fun and interactive recorded webinars/videos that are no longer than 45 minutes on a topic that can help girls or GSGNY volunteers/troop leaders attain special skills or knowledge.

The content can be geared towards any of our Girl Scouting Levels (K-12) or adults, and can be connected to the Girl Scouting National Portfolio – or not! Since we are a 'G.I.R.L.-led' organization, we highly encourage and invite girls to participate in developing their own content too.

Please review our Video and Content Guidelines, and when you are ready, submit your content to us!
