There are many opportunities for Girl Scouts to earn scholarships in support of continuing their education and life experience. In addition to the opportunities listed below, Girl Scouts may also find scholarship information through Girl Scouts of USA.
The Future Woman of Distinction Award is given to one Ambassador
Girl Scout in New York City each year who represents the ideals
inherent in Girl Scouting through their participation in and
commitment to community service, high academic achievement, leadership
skills, and ability to communicate the value of Girl Scouting.
The Britenstool Scholarship is endowed in honor of Dr. Harry Britenstool for Girl Scouts of Greater New York. It is designed for Girl Scouts demonstrating academic success, a dedication to serving their communities, and career goals oriented towards medicine, science, or citizenship.
This college scholarship is available to any registered member of Girl Scouts of Greater New York interested in pursuing a career in the arts, education, civil service, STEM, or the nonprofit sector. The winner will be awarded the scholarship no more than one time.
