Girl Scouts for All

Access and Inclusion

Every Girl Scout brings unique value to our community. Our Girl Scouts for All initiative is designed to welcome and support members with physical, developmental, cognitive, intellectual, and/or sensory disabilities, while building community awareness and skills around accessibility.

Volunteer with Unique Abilities Troops

The GSGNY council provides those interested in volunteering as Unique Abilities Troop Leaders with a built-in support system. Our staff ensures you have all the resources needed to provide Girl Scouts with an unforgettable experience, including:

  • On-boarding and volunteer training
  • Badge activity modification guides
  • Special development workshops
  • Support from our on-staff Accessibility & Inclusion Lead Specialist

Join a Unique Abilities Troop

Unique Abilities Troops are open to all Girl Scouts and are designed to support members with disabilities, learning differences, and/or accommodation requests. Meetings provide a space that encourages social-emotional learning, self-empowerment, making friends, and of course, earning badges! If you know a child interested in joining a Unique Abilities Troops, contact customercare@girlscoutsnyc.org through the link below.
