Ways to Volunteer

Behind every Girl Scout is a great leader.

Be the troop leader that supports her every week, mentor a Girl Scout during cookie season as she strives to meet her goals, or work with other adults to provide behind-the-scenes support. Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun!

Affinity Troops

Short-term virtual/blended opportunities during which Girl Scouts from across NYC can connect and explore a particular topic of interest. Programming is facilitated by trained volunteers resulting in 4-6 high-quality troop meetings and 1 to 2 badges earned over a span of 4-6 weeks. Girl Scouts will experience a variety of purposeful troop activities, participate in Girl Scout traditions, as well as explore a theme corresponding with the Girl Scouting year and engage in the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE).

We are now recruiting for our Summer Affinity Troops, which start July 6! Learn more and apply here.
