The femcho* program is developed to promote confidence, leadership, health, and fitness among girls in a fun, hip way. Our workshop consists of dance/fitness, girl talk, and a confidence-building compliment. Facilitated femcho* girl-talk is a discussion that takes place in a safe and nurturing environment. Girls reflect and bond while sharing without any judgement or criticism. The dance/fitness segment consists of easy to follow moves to the girls' favorite music.

Specific femcho* modules determine the topics discussed. The femcho* program is brought to your troop meeting location. One of our trained and experienced femcho* facilitators will come to your location. We will provide femcho* bracelets, Girl Scout patches, appropriate music, and speakers.

Over 4,000 Girl Scouts have experienced femcho* workshops. Through different modules that focus on topics such as friendship, leadership, healthy choices, confidence, compassion, fitness and power, femcho* can be adapted to achieve many Girl Scout journeys, petals, and to earn several girl-scout badges. The femcho* patch is a bedazzled iron-on encrusted with Swarovski crystals. Scouts have incorporated femcho to earn Silver Awards, and become mentors to earn more kinds of badges than we can name!

femcho* has had the honor of leading over a thousand scouts and troop leaders in a dance/fitness routine during the 100 year Anniversary Bridge Crossing at Randall's Island. We have also had the pleasure of offering our program at Camp Kaufmann.

GAALS: Girls Athletics And Life Skills

GAALS empowers young girls, tweens and teens to build character, confidence and life skills through unique programs that blend fun, active games with meaningful conversations about their experiences and feelings.

Through open dialogue facilitated by mentors, girls are provided with a rare opportunity to connect with their peers in a nurturing environment. This enables them to gain valuable insights and develop strategies to effectively navigate their daily lives.
By sharing their experiences, each girl also has the powerful realization that others have similar thoughts and feelings. This approach helps her:

  • Build healthy relationships and resilience
  • Cultivate the courage to challenge herself
  • Embrace, respect and value who she is
  • Face each day with a positive attitude

GAALS offers camps when schools are closed, mother daughter events and even come to you with customized, fun, Girl Scout badge earning workshops

We work closely with leaders to understand the goals and needs of the troop, then customize the workshop's activities and discussions to ensure the greatest social, emotional and/or physical benefit.

TADA! Youth Theater

TADA! is a unique Drama Desk award-winning nonprofit youth theater that produces original musicals for children, teens, and family audiences. Our mission is to provide young people from different backgrounds with musical theater programs that inspire them to be creative, learn, and think differently.

TADA! presents original musicals in the Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer that are performed by kids, for kids! The shows tackle topics as varied as American history and dystopian futures; as delightful as a boy who simply can't fall asleep or a clumsy fairy who has trouble granting wishes; and as challenging as bullying, peer pressure, and anxiety -- all with care, appropriate language, charm, and wit. Girl Scout groups of 15 or more can receive tickets for only $8 per child and $10 per adult.

TADA! also offers musical theater workshops that can be tailored to the themes in our productions or a theme of the Troop's choosing. Workshops include educational theater games coupled with learning songs and choreography to popular musical numbers. TADA! works to build self-confidence and challenges participants to be the very best they can be!

Our programming easily can be used towards patches including Dancer, Musician, Playing the Past, Scribe, Public Speaker, or Troupe Performer. However, our customizable workshops allow for almost any theme or subject matter to be explored!

Learn more about current season productions. Group rates can be secured by emailing or calling 212-252-1619 x128. If you're interested in booking a workshop along with the performance just let us know!

If you would like to only book a musical theater workshop for your troop, please email Rebecca Branscom.
