Mentor Tickets

2013-gold-awardees

This year, we are offering a special opportunity to be a Mentor to a Gold Awardee. By sponsoring a Gold Awardee to attend the Breakfast, you are giving an Ambassador/Senior Girl Scout the opportunity to participate in the Breakfast and see firsthand Women of Distinction – influential leaders and role models for these young women, who will inspire today’s girl to become tomorrow’s leaders.

On behalf of our Gold Awardees, we gratefully acknowledge the supporters who have purchased mentor tickets for the 2013 Women of Distinction Breakfast (as of October 4, 2013).

As the culmination of our leadership development programs, Girl Scouts offers the Gold Award, the highest honor in Girl Scouting, for girls ages 14-17. The Gold Award focuses on leadership, career exploration, challenge for personal growth, and community action. The Gold Award requires Ambassador/Senior Girl Scouts to propose a Take Action Project that will have great impact on their communities, implement their Projects with a minimum 80 hours of service, and submit Impact Charts and Outcomes upon completion. This prestigious award is achieved by only 6% of Girl Scouts each year.
