Girl Scouts, 2 days ago On November 22, Breukelen Girl Scouts served breakfast at the Breukelen Community Center from 10AM to 12PM. The girls hailed from Daisy Troop #2277, Brownie Troop #2101, Junior Troop #2102, and Cadette Troop #2104. Apart from the delicious food, girls and community members also shared what they are thankful for in their lives: Girl Scout Amaya said she is thankful for her entire family because they love her and she loves them, too.
And community member Rose Reid was thankful for the Breukelen Girl Scouts’ good deeds - not just as they impacted herself, but the entire community.

For the first time ever, girls will decide what those badges will be! During this first phase we are asking girls to choose an outdoor category.
• The first is Recreation. Some examples include:

• The second is Survival Skills. Some examples include:
o knot tying
o disaster preparedness
o shelter building
o orienteering (compass work)
• The final category is the Environment. Some examples include:
o learning about various types of pollution
o park and beach clean ups

Girl Scouts, 6 days ago The East River 1 Service Unit organized a cookie rally recently: "This was an opportunity to get the girls excited about the upcoming cookie sale. The younger girls make cookie flower pots where they learned about the different varieties of cookies; the older girls make cookie order clipboards and cookie message clips, for goal setting. They worked on marketing by creating their list of potential customers to contact.
And, all the girls played cookie safety bingo."
