First Aid Safety and Community CPR (Fee $45.00; 6 hours)
In this comprehensive course participants will learn how to identify and care for a variety of medical emergencies. Participants will also learn how to reduce the risk of injury or death by properly identifying breathing and cardiac emergencies and administrating the appropriate CPR measures for adult, child victims. Instructors are volunteer Girl Scout Trainers certified by either the American Red Cross or American Heart Association to deliver the appropriate corresponding curriculum.
Both curriculums have changed this year as a result the course is now 6 hours. Skills demonstration at the end of the day must be passed in order to receive American Red Cross or American Heart Certification and credit validation on your training card.
In addition, the fee must be in hand before you can be officially registered; our policy is not to reserve spots without payment. For your convenience: we now accept credit and debit card payments.

The girls from Troop 2832 in Brooklyn who were filmed for CUNY-TV about their robotics project voted to name the robot. Says troop leader Tatiana Serafin: "They decided to give him a full name to account for all the votes each different name got." His name? "Robi G. Brainy the First". In the picture below, the girls proudly show off his finished arm.
