We are proud to present the Take Action Leadership Summit: Discover Your Voice, Change the World! This day will include keynote speakers, youth-led workshops, and a networking resource fair of local organizations. We will also feature a special dancing and “girl talk” session facilitated by Femcho*, a local girl empowerment organization!
The goal of this day is to focus broadly on the topic of “leadership,” while preparing Cadette, Senior and Ambassador teen Girl Scouts for their highest awards, as well as developing their leadership skills for the workforce and higher education!

Girl Scouts of Nassau County (GSNC) will attempt to break the world record for the "Most People Dunking a Girl Scout Cookie" - feel free to join them on Saturday morning, January 31, at the Broadway Mall in Hicksville. Help them get an idea of how many people show up by registering for the event at http://www.gsnc.org/program/index.asp#WorldRecordCookieDunk. GSNC expects that it will take about an hour to get everyone in place, and just a moment to dunk the Girl Scout Cookies.... Good luck, GSNC! The girls from Troop 2832 in Brooklyn who were filmed for CUNY-TV about their robotics project voted to name the robot. Says troop leader Tatiana Serafin: "They decided to give him a full name to account for all the votes each different name got." His name? "Robi G. Brainy the First". In the picture below, the girls proudly show off his finished arm.

On this undated photo we are posting for #TBT, four Girl Scouts are getting ready to perform on #WNEW-AM 1130, which billed itself as the "World’s Greatest Radio Station". 1130 was the first radio station to ever use disc jockeys, and was an outlet for the music of Frank Sinatra, Lena Horne, Mel Torme, Mary Lou Williams, and many others.
