At this 100th Anniversary event offered by the Bronx Borough Program Committee, participating Girl Scouts will see New York City from a new perspective as they cruise New York waterways in the company of a positive adult female role model in their life.

Our 100th Anniversary Gala will celebrate 100 years of Girl Scouting in New York City and honor leaders engaged in strengthening and building our city, embody innovation, and are strong, positive role models of leadership for our girl members.
 

June 2, 2013:
BRIDGE CROSSING

Randall's Island
Girls, leaders, parents and family members will come together to cross the 103rd Street pedestrian bridge to Randall’s Island as a symbol of the Girl Scouts of Greater New York bridging into the next century. On the island, girls will participate in program activities, with particular emphasis on STEM. The Take Action Fair will provide girls with the opportunity to gather information and inspiration from leading community-based organizations on taking action in their communities. Additionally, everyone will be able to visit a program exhibitor area, enjoy entertainment and participate in a traditional sing-a-long.
 

June 12, 2013:
GOLD AWARD CEREMONY

The Girl Scout Gold Award is the highest and most prestigious award that Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors can earn. This annual ceremony honors the achievements of the girls from our council who have achieved this honor as well as young women who have earned scholarships.
 

June - August 2013:
A CENTURY OF GIRL SCOUTING IN NYC 

A historical exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library featuring photos, art, sculpture, books, uniforms, poetry, short stories, and crafts. Submissions are due by April 30, 2013.
